About the ASE Education Foundation

Meet the ASE Education Foundation

The ASE Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that evaluates and accredits entry-level automotive technology education programs against standards developed by the automotive service industry. It also develops career-readiness education for students which fuse local partnerships, rigorous standard-based education, workplace experience, and mentorship together.

ASE & the ASE Education Foundation

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) fosters collaboration among service professionals, shop owners, dealers, and industry stakeholders to elevate the transportation industry. ASE verifies service professionals’ technical knowledge through testing, developed by subject matter experts from across the industry. ASE Certifications are valid for 5 years, and require the passing of a recertification test prior to expiration to verify up-to-date technical knowledge. ASE Certified professionals have the knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and correctly, the first time. The ASE Education Foundation impacts more than 100,000 students across 1,800+ ASE accredited programs. The foundation bridges the gap between education and the transportation industry, providing a certification pathway to enter the automotive industry and build rewarding careers.
